A NEW START

I don't know how the weather has been for all of you, but here in Wisconsin it has been beautiful. My kids & I are feeling better so we are ready to start the week on a clean slate. Currently the last load of laundry is in the washer as well as the house freshly cleaned. My hope is to start the week clean, with no unnecessary items on the to-do list so that the week goes better, and hopefully be able to achieve all my goals for the week.

Tomorrow is day one with my training program for the virtual 5-K program that I signed on for via Sparkpeople.com I am actually really excited about it. I have never really wanted to run races to be in the lead to win. But I have always wanted to run, just to say that I can do it. In High School I was the kid who would run a lap and than walk a lap to walk a few step and jog a few steps to complete a mile. I think my Freshman yr it took 18 minutes to complete a mile emoticon I was the last one to cross the finish line. But looking back I probably would have done better if I wasn't so lazy or convinced that I couldn't do it.

So Please wish me luck as I embark on this new endeavor. If any of you have started from the couch to running a 5 K and have any hints please share them not only with me but the other members of my group. It doesn't matter who runs the fastest, but who finishes the race emoticon
